I am currently working as a Hapū Development Coordinator for Ngāti Pareraukawa, facilitating and managing Hapū initiatives, which include environmental projects.

I am also an academic staff member of Te Wānanga-o-Raukawa in Ōtaki, specifically for the Putaiao courses. Work includes: course development; environmental research; and practical restoration. I have a background in Resource and Environmental Planning, and in Māori Resource Development. Some of my work has focused on the restoration of the Mangapouri Stream in Ōtaki while collecting oral history recordings from throughout Ngāti Raukawa about environmental injustice, (tuna - eel), and basically anything that elders will share. I enjoy project management and the facilitation of positive Māori-led environmental initiatives. In my spare time, I enjoy playing rugby and listening to good home grown music from Aotearoa. Mauriora!

I believe that Taiao Raukawa will play an influential role in the management of our natural environment in the near future. With the support of Hapū and Iwi, it is envisaged that informed decision making can be incorporated into current poor decision making and consultation processes. Taiao Raukawa will support and assist in Hapū empowerment with particular regard to Papatūānuku and Ranginui me ā rāua tamariki maha!
